Wiring Upgrade.png

electronics

Upgrading your electronics is an economical way to get a great-sounding guitar on a budget. Many of my customers come in looking to improve the sound or reliability of their instruments and we can wire up nearly anything you want. (No smoke machines. I've been asked, really)

We see tons of broken, worn-out, and abused components that can be repaired or replaced as required. Bad electronics work is something I see come in daily for repair and we hold ourselves to the highest standards when it comes to soldering. Rest assured that if we wire something up for you, it'll be ready for a world tour.

  • Wiring harness (Tele, Strat) - from £80 + Your choice of parts

  • Wiring harness (SG, LP) - from £90 + Your choice of parts

  • Pickup Re-wind (per coil) - from £55

  • Jack Replacement (incl. jack)- £26

  • Switch Replacement (+switch) - £25

Interference (humming or buzzing) is everywhere these days with screens, lights, dirty power supplies, and more. Every year more people come to me needing their guitars shielded from these elements, and this is now my second most requested type of work! A properly shielded guitar will virtually eliminate most interference. We take as many aspects of shielding into account as possible, including better wires, any circuit upgrades that would decrease background noise, and anything else that will provide a better-performing electrified instrument.

We can also sometimes shield hollow, and semi-hollow guitars and basses but that involves making individual copper casings for each component before installation. Although highly effective, it is very time-consuming and will take at least a few hours. At £80 per hour, this can be a little costly, but it will work very well!

  • Shielding (Strat, Tele) - £140

  • Shielding (SG, LP) - £155

  • Shielding (Hollow & Semi-Hollow) - from £320
